Basically, we are thoroughbred developers and love nothing more than finding creative solutions to even the trickiest problems. We also like to take unconventional paths and combine our experience with the latest technologies.

One of our main areas of expertise is certainly FirstSpirit , an enterprise-level CMS. This is why our customers are primarily medium-sized companies and corporations. We support projects with our know-how and help with the implementation of extensions and integrations in the context of digitalization.

One thing is very important to us in our collaboration with our customers: transparency. That's why we always act as equals and never lose sight of aspects such as sustainability and efficiency. Our aim is to work in partnership to create long-term and progressive innovations that not only solve a problem, but also create real added value for our customers.

And, of course, one thing must never be neglected: Enjoying the development process.

Our main activity is to support the implementation of FirstSpirit projects. Here we are usually part of a team and the specialists for the CMS. But we do not stop at the limits of the CMS. Another part of our portfolio is the creation of individual software solutions based on Java.

Java is our domain. We use it to implement stand-alone extensions or even microservices with SpringBoot. And working with the CMS in the cloud also results in exciting projects that repeatedly involve working with Amazon Web Services, for example. This is therefore also one of our areas of expertise.

We simply want to do cool things together and don't rest on our laurels, but are always on the lookout for the next challenge. And yet we never lose sight of the work-life balance. More work does not create more value, but more dissatisfaction. We would like to teach you what agile software development means. There is much more to it than just dividing work into small chunks. We want to help you think outside the box and at least see the big picture. Generalization is the keyword here. This will keep the doors open for you to find solutions to problems later on that have not even been thought of yet.

We generally work in a self-organized and independent manner. As we are only a small company and usually provide the technical expertise for the CMS FirstSpirit, our employees are usually attached to a team on the customer side without being absorbed into their organization. Contaio does not hire out employees, we provide expertise.

First, we train you so that you get to know our workhorse, the CMS FirstSpirit. After training and familiarization, you will be given your first small tasks in the Java environment. Gradually, we will then take you into customer projects. More important than racking up the hours is the quality of the work. That's why we take the time to accompany you professionally on your way and always have an open ear for your questions. We don't just throw you into a project, but always have your back.

As a rule, you will work in our office, which we affectionately call the pool house. You'll understand what's behind this nickname when you visit us. Here you have your own space and can work in peace and quiet.

Regardless of the CMS FirstSpirit, we are all Java experts. Due to the CMS, we all need to have experience with front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML and CSS. Ideally, you have already come into contact with these technologies and have some experience with them.

But the most important thing is your soft skills. We expect you to think for yourself, to ask questions and to want to learn something. Just nodding your head is not enough. Get involved, question the facts, suggest what you think about a topic. Old-fashioned things are not always correct and up-to-date. Be humorous and have fun. But always be friendly and respectful. Be communicative.
